One-Dollar Freeze

I start with my problem first. I wanted to book a car in London on QEEQ but I did not want to pay the full amount at once. It felt like too much pressure on my credit card and my trip was still some time away so I felt a bit nervous. Then I saw a payment option called One-Dollar Freeze. It said I could hold the car by paying only 1 dollar first. I liked that right away. That day I used my phone and chose a Volvo XC60 in London. The pickup time was around the evening of June 6. When I confirmed the booking they only took that 1 dollar from my card. I checked my bill and I really felt relaxed. The rest of the money was not sitting on my card. When I opened my credit card app every day I felt much more at ease. One or two days before the rental started they took the remaining amount automatically. There was no extra interest or strange fee. The price was the same as what I saw when I booked. I did not need to do anything by myself. I just checked some emails to see the status. When I went to London to pick up the car around the evening of June 8 the counter staff could find my booking without any problem. I only showed my documents and finished the process. Looking back from the 1 dollar booking to the later auto charge the whole rhythm felt very comfortable for me. I did not get hit by a big payment at once and I also did not worry about missing the payment and losing the car. This way is really good for a young person like me who is still trying to control my budget.

One-Dollar Freeze

When I think about my booking in Manchester, the first feeling I have is that I felt no pressure when I placed the order. I was going there for a business trip, planning to pick up the car around the evening of June 7 and return it on the 9th, and I was already busy getting my meeting notes ready. On my phone I saw they had a payment plan called One-Dollar Freeze. I only needed to pay 1 dollar first to lock the car, and the rest would be taken automatically before the rental started. My credit card bill was already quite high and I did not want to add a big charge at once, so this plan fit me very well. When I booked, only that 1 dollar was charged. The amount on the screen was so small and I suddenly felt much more relaxed. I did not worry about my card limit for those days. Later, when it was close to the pickup day, the card was charged for the rest of the fee. I just got a normal charge notice and there was no extra fee or interest. That was the moment I felt this design really worked for someone like me who travels for work a lot. When I arrived at Manchester to get the car, I only needed to show my booking to the rental counter staff. The payment part was already clear, so I could focus on my work schedule. For me the whole thing was book the car easily with just 1 dollar, then let the rest be paid automatically when I needed the car, without any stress about the payment. QEEQ made this part of my trip feel very simple.

Dedicated customer service

When I think about this booking the clearest picture in my mind is not driving on the road. It is me sitting in my office and staring at my bank statement. I saw an extra fifty pound one way fee and I got nervous. I booked the car through QEEQ. I picked up a Renault Captur manual from London around the evening of April 20 and dropped it off in Oxford in early May. The trip was fine but this extra charge suddenly broke my rhythm. I went to ask the Drivalia staff at the counter first and they said the system just showed this fee. I felt a bit speechless and went back to contact the platform. When I reached out to them I was already a bit annoyed because it was a business trip and my time was tight. I did not want to watch a small bill every day but fifty pounds is still real money for me and for my company report. From the moment I explained the problem I noticed something. I always talked to the same support person. She asked me a few simple questions first then came back later and told me they were already checking with the rental company. I could feel she was really pushing this for me and not just sending one cold reply and then forgetting me. The rental company went back and forth a few times. On my side I got updates from them saying they were still talking with the company and that I should not worry too much. The process was not very fast and I felt a bit anxious because I had to send my expense report to my office. Every time I looked at that extra number on the form I felt uncomfortable. But every time I asked for an update I still got the same person. She explained in simple words where the case was stuck and it made me feel that my case was still on the table. After some time the fifty pounds finally came back to my account. I felt relief first. Then I thought that without this kind of dedicated customer service I might have already given up or been pushed around by the rental desk. As someone who travels a lot for work it is important for me to feel that someone really takes care of my case. Even for a fee that is not huge there was always someone who remembered I was waiting for the result and that left a strong impression on me.

AXA Full Coverage

The day my claim was confirmed I felt my whole body relax. It was like a tight knot in my chest finally came loose. The support team told me that AXA Full Coverage had approved my claim. I stared at my phone for a few seconds before it hit me that I did not need to worry about those two extra charges anymore. It all started when I rented a car in London in the UK. I booked through QEEQ and chose a car from CARWIZ. It was a Volkswagen Golf, automatic, four doors and five seats. For someone like me driving in the UK for the first time it felt like a safe choice. The pickup time was set around the morning of May twenty fifth. I actually got the car on one of those mornings. The London sky was a bit gray and I kept thinking in my head that right hand drive might be scary. At first everything went very smooth. The car looked pretty new and the fuel level was fine. I drove very carefully the whole time. I returned the car two days later in the afternoon maybe a bit closer to evening. I went to the branch a bit early and parked where the staff told me to. The worker walked around the car and looked at the outside. He said it was okay. I thought there was no problem and left with a light mind. The real trouble started a few days after I went back home. One day I was bored and checked my credit card bill. I suddenly saw two large charges from the car company. I felt nervous right away. My brain started to race. I kept asking myself if I had hit something or scratched the car or maybe parked badly. I tried to remember every small moment. That kind of feeling is really heavy especially after you already left the country. I contacted the support team and sent a screenshot of the one charge I saw first. In my head I was still thinking maybe it was just a mistake. Then they reminded me it looked like there were two charges. I checked my bill again very carefully and found there really were two. I felt a bit upset with myself and thought that I should have checked better from the start. When I booked the car I had bought AXA Full Coverage. At that time I just thought it was a backup in case something bad happened. I did not expect to actually use it. The support staff told me what they needed me to provide like the bills for both charges and related proof. While I was getting everything ready I could see pictures in my head from driving in London. Small streets turning points car parks. I kept asking myself if I had missed something. I felt a bit guilty but also lucky that I had taken this insurance. Over the next few days I sent them the missing documents one by one. Since it was a foreign credit card I checked the currency and details before I replied. I was afraid I might write something wrong and slow down the case. Every time I opened my email or checked my messages I wondered if there was news already. I did not want to be annoying so I tried not to ask them all the time. I just told myself to wait a little more. One time they asked me to confirm the currency and some photos. I sat in front of my computer and read the bill line by line. My phone was next to me with photos of the car from London. I did not want to miss any detail. I was nervous but their replies were clear enough and I could feel they were helping me push the case forward. Later they told me they had passed my situation on to the insurance company. Then I entered the waiting stage. I did my daily tasks but every time I remembered the two charges my mood got a bit heavy again. I even imagined different bad endings. I thought maybe the claim would be refused and I would have to pay everything myself. Then I tried to calm down and told myself that I had insurance for this and should trust it. When I finally got the message that the claim was approved I felt a big wave of relief. At that moment I really understood how important this AXA Full Coverage was for a traveler like me. Before that it was only an extra option that cost some money. Now it was something real that helped me get back the money the rental company had taken. It felt like someone caught me when I did not know what to do. Thinking back this experience changed my view on renting cars abroad. In another country with different rules and language sometimes you do not even know where the problem is. You only feel the pressure when the money is taken. Without this insurance I think I would just have to accept the loss. Now that I can get the money back my memory of driving in London feels much lighter. My fear and worry are slowly replaced by the thought that I am glad I had insurance. The whole process did make me a bit stressed but for me this claim gave me a strong sense of safety. It showed me that when I rent a car in another country as long as I have this kind of coverage I can feel much more relaxed.

One-Dollar Freeze

I want to say first that when I booked this car through QEEQ I felt pretty relaxed the whole time. I did not feel that big pressure when you swipe your card and a lot of money is gone at once. The main reason I decided to book was the One-Dollar Freeze service they offered. At the start I was thinking maybe I should wait because I was also paying for flights and hotels and my credit card bill already looked a bit scary. That night in late May I saw this Audi A3 automatic in London on my phone. The car looked nice to me and the price was okay. My first thought was not about the car but about my card. I was worried that if I paid the full amount right away my bill for that month would be too high. Then I saw that I only needed to pay 1 dollar first to lock the car. I suddenly felt much more relaxed. It was like I could keep the booking without sending a lot of money at once. I paid that 1 dollar booking fee and the confirmation email came very fast. I saw that the pickup and drop off were both in London and the car rental company was Europcar so I felt safe about it. For me it was like paying a small deposit to hold the car and then paying the rest later when the trip was closer. The most important thing for me was that this plan had no interest. I did not need to worry about extra money or any hidden cost. I also did not need to do a lot of math about my card limit for the next month just because of this rental. The days went by and June came closer. I was busy with other parts of my trip and sometimes I even forgot about the car booking. When it was close to June second they took the rest of the payment automatically like they said before. When I saw the charge I did not feel the same stress as when I pay a big amount in one time because I already handled other costs during those days. On June second early in the morning I was already in London and ready to pick up the car. I did not feel nervous at all because I knew the car was reserved for me. Compared to my old bookings where I paid everything at once this time felt like it was split into two steps. Each step felt light and I did not get scared by a big number at the start. During those days in between I was still changing some parts of my plan and checking other expenses. If I had to pay the full rental price at the beginning I might have kept thinking about it and maybe even given up the car. Because of One-Dollar Freeze I could lock the Audi A3 first and then think about the rest slowly. My mindset was totally different. I really like this pay a little first and then automatic payment later style. It makes the booking process look less scary. I am still a student and I like to plan my own trips. My card limit is not very high and when I see a big charge I always feel a bit nervous. With this model it feels just right. I can book the car I want and my card does not feel under strong pressure. When I think about this booking now starting from the moment I only paid 1 dollar I feel like I had more control. I was not pushed by one big payment. The pace matched my own way of spending money and it made the whole Audi A3 booking experience much easier for me.

Price Drop Protector

At first I actually wanted to complain about myself. I always feel like a person who loves to compare prices will suffer when renting a car. I needed a nine seat car in London, like a Ford Tourneo. In summer the price can change a lot. I was ready to be tortured by the price again. I booked the car on QEEQ and then I found I really had nothing to complain about. I was kind of happy instead. The whole thing is a bit funny. When I placed the order I was still thinking in my head. Should I refresh a bit more and see if it gets cheaper. In the past I would check again and again on my phone and my laptop. I would compare every site and also worry that the car would be gone if I waited too long. This time I told myself I just book first. I wanted a nine seat car with Alamo in London around mid July. Pick up in the morning and return a few days later in the evening. So did I keep watching the price later. To be honest at the start I still wanted to. I am young and I like to save money when I can. But after a couple of days I got busy planning the trip and talking with my friends about the schedule. I stopped thinking about the price so much. One day I opened my email and looked at the bill. I was really confused for a second. My first question in my head was this. I did not change my booking. Why is the price lower now. I checked again and saw a message from them. It said the price went down and they used Price Drop Protector to auto rebook the same type of car and send the difference back to me. In that moment I had one thought. Did I just earn this money for free. I did not do any extra step. I did not talk to customer service to ask for a discount. I did not cancel and rebook by myself. Now the price was even lower than what I saw when I booked. I checked the car type and the time again. It was still a nine seat automatic. The only change was that I paid less. I asked myself another question. Without Price Drop Protector would I even notice this price drop. Most likely not. I am flying from the Netherlands. I have to think about the weather in London and the traffic and my friends schedule. I need to think how we go from the airport to the city and how we put people and luggage in the car. I really will not check car rental prices every day. The price goes up and down all the time. I am not a trader. I am just a normal young person who needs a big car. Does this saved money help me. Of course it does. With exchange rate plus fuel and parking costs the total is not low. The forty something euro I saved is enough for a few simple lunches. Or a few more coffees with my friends. Maybe this is nothing for rich people. For someone like me who counts small costs this is real extra budget. If I compare this to the old way I see a big difference. Before I had two choices. I could stare at the price page every day and refresh non stop. This made me feel very nervous. Or I could stop looking after booking and tell myself to accept it even if the price goes down. This time it feels like I gave the job of watching the price to them. I just focused on the trip plan and on how to share things with my friends. When I thought about that later I felt pretty relaxed. I even showed off a bit to my friend. I said look. After I booked the car the price went down and they sent the difference back to me. I did nothing and still saved money. My friend did not believe it at first. He thought maybe I called someone to argue or I canceled and booked again. Then I showed him the record. He said this kind of service fits people like us who have no time and do not want to lose money. When I look back at the whole thing the part I remember the most is not the car model. It is how Price Drop Protector feels like a small helper watching the price for me. I was not bothered by a lot of complex steps. I did not feel regret that I booked too early and paid more. The booking stayed confirmed. The car was still there. I just paid less. This feeling is quite nice. I first thought this London rental would make me complain about price again. It turned into a story I tell other people now. I say that the platform checked the price after I booked. When the price went down they helped me save some money. For me this kind of money that I save without doing anything is more impressive than any big sale sign I see at the start.
